Responsibilities:

Under supervision of nursing staff, is responsible for the assessment and direct care of the hemodialysis patient

Demonstrates technical and task-oriented skills

Monitors patients on an on-going basis and responds to emergency situations.

 

Experience and Education:

Requires high school diploma or GED, with at least one of the following:

Two years of dialysis clinical Technician experience OR direct patient care experience, and completion of related college science courses (chemistry, biology), OR Associates degree in Science, OR a Bachelors of Science degree

MUST HAVE OR OBTAIN NATIONAL CERTIFICATION AS A DIALYSIS CLINICAL TECHNICIAN WITHIN 18 MONTHS OF DATE OF HIRE.
